Excellent facilities and excellent staff. Anne & Liz on reception big thanks went out their way to help. Claire thanks for the lift to the train station. All round excellent excellent excellent.
The staff were excellant and could not be faulted, the young restuarant staff were so attentive. I was there with elderly relations from cananda and they were very impressed with the level of service and friendlyness of the staff. They commented the the service in scottish hotels had certainly improved over the years.
If I had to make one negative comment it would be that I had emailed the hotel directly requesting that my relatives be given a room with a view - the view was the roof of an exteriour building. I spoke to a couple of other guests and found that they were single occupancy business men and both had rooms with beautiful views - I was a bit disappointed by this.
We liked the sea veiws from the terace and the staff were courtious and very attentive our room was spacious and clean. We were staying with a wedding party and the event was very well run. Breakfast the next morning was lovely and provided an extensive choice to suit all tastes.
We have stayed at the hotel on several occassions and the service has always been second to none. The staff are so friendly and obliging, they really cannot do enough for you. The room we were in looks like it has just recently been decorated and it was gorgeous. The food is great, the pool/spa area is sooo relaxing, location is great, feels like you are a million miles away .... just love everything about this hotel - cannot rate it high enough and the staff, just fantastic - nothing is a problem for them.
The relaxation we had at the hotel was great we did'nt need to hurry we done things on our own time. The food was great and there was alot of choice. We also liked the beauty therapy we got our nails and hair done.
Only thing we did'nt like was the bedroom it needed updated and it was very dusty in the room.
The suite in which we stayed was immaculate and decorated to a very high standard. The quality of the restaurant food was outstanding and the staff were very cheery.
The pool temperature was a bit cold and the restaurant lacked an intimate atmosphere for our evening meal.
My husband daughter and myself stayed at Seamill Hydro as we had to be in Scotland for a Christening. Originally I booked it for it's convenient location to where we had to be, but it turned out to be a lovely break . The hotel is very relaxed and informal, the staff are really friendly and helpful and our daughter loved the Kids Club which gave us some much valued time to ourselves. The location is stunning and we're planning to go back for a proper break in October half term.
Swimming pool was a bit cold. Sauna could have been hotter and better shower facilities in the leisure area would improve things a lot.
Qualty of the food and the service was excellent
Excellent room with superb views across the sea to Arran. Apart from receptionist on arrival all other staff were excellent. Great food. Although there were functions taking place and our room was above the lounge bar it was surprisingly quiet. Enjoyable short stay.
It is a very smart hotel in an area which is bereft of such facilities
The breakfast service on the Monday morning was very poor and slow. A number of people at various tables had to repeatedly ask for their order to be taken
Perfect location for relaxing and unwinding. Excellent sea front location. Good facilities within the hotel itself. Restaurant staff very helpful and informative on menus and local information. Good selection of restaurants to eat in and varied menus
Nothing - was the perfect break
Time to relax and walks on the beach. The view from our room and the comfort of the refurbished room.
The location, right on the coast of Ayrshire was brilliant, and only a few miles from larger towns where shops were available, if required.
The Hotel was V.busy with at least one wedding party and a 40th birthday party, both of which did impinge on our pleasure due to the noise level, and movement of younger guests. They are obviously in the middle of a large upgrading program, to introduce new restaurant and Spa facilities which will improve the attraction even more than the location.
This was my second time at Seamill Hydro Hotel and I would gladly go back. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The scenery is fantastic and you can walk along the beach which backs on to the hotels grounds. It is very good value. The accommodation was lovely too. A very pleasant couple of days and healthy too, long walks and swimming in the pool, and to finish off using the steam room and sauna - brilliant. I wish I could go back now!
I liked it all.
I stay at many hotels all over the UK. The attitude of the staff at The Seamill Hydro was collectivelythe very best I am encountered and made my stay so much more pleasurable. I mentioned this to the receptionist when checking out. Well done and thank you very much
It was almost impossible to find a space in the car park on arriving which as a resident was slightly annoying
